Slim0 + Ayka // Revolver

SLIM0 is a rock/grunge/art/doom band consisting of Danish/Montegrinian siblings Mija Milovic (guitar, keys, bass) and Lena Milovic (guitar, bass) alongside Danish/Iranian Simin Ramezanali (drums, flute, bass). All three of them sing, the voice being a central element to the band's practice. 

The trio have known each other since high school and released their debut EP ‘sol i øjet’ in 2020. Since then, SLIM0 has been self-releasing multiple singles and EPs, expanding their sound defying classical song structures and rousing the Copenhagen music scenes through action and intuition as an underground stable. 

As visual artists, film directors and composers, each member brings a distinctive skillset into the band, creating a comprehensive artistic expression connecting music videos and artwork with compelling live shows and bold releases where hardcore rock lives side by side with pop cultural references. Core to the group is a social activist approach to what it means to be an artist today, with music as a vital part of and medium for resistance. SLIM0 has been a key contributor of music and pulse to ((pro-))Palestinian demonstrations and university encampments in Copenhagen since October 2023, as well as organising Rock Choir Practice and dedicating themselves to grassroot organisations such as Drummers Against Occupation and Dykes Against The Machine, showing just a fragment of each members determination to make a change where they can, when they can. 

‘FORGIVENESS’ is SLIM0s debut full length album, produced by the ubiquitous artist Aase Nielsen (Hyperdub, World Music, Rough Trade) and released on 18 October 2024 via new Danish label 15 love (ML Buch, CTM, Jordan Playfair).

Ayka er soloprosjektet til norsk-tyrkiske Ayça Lingaas. Under by:Larm 2022 var hun blant de 12 nominerte for Årets Stjerneskudd - og ble omtalt som “en artist å holde øye med” av Aftenposten. Samme år opptrådte Ayka på Vill Vill Vest i Bergen til stor respons fra både publikum og GAFFA. Deretter trakk hun seg tilbake til Hønefoss og begynte å skrive på et yet to be released debut-album. Med egenarta og vindskeivt gitarspill omfavner hun et råere og mer skranglete landskap enn tidligere, og tekstene er direkte og ujålete refleksjoner av alt som er godt og vondt - helst på samme tid.
